·           Mike Thessen congratulated the First Degree Team on 8 January meeting/First Degree

·                   Field Agent provided information on success of the program

·                   Bob W. suggested purchasing a new calendar to be displayed to hold all upcoming events

·                    Mike Thessen thanked the 5th Sunday volunteers and reminded us of Donut Sunday coming up on 17 February

·                    Rudy Peyerl asked if anyone was interested in traveling to NY for the Pope's visit

·                    Dennis Reller said anyone interested in programs which include Parish Mission and Bible Studies to attend meetings on 22 and 23 January at the Parish

·                    Meat cutters needed to help Denny at the Fry House on Friday, 25 January

·                    New Hall Work Date set for 16 February at 8:00 am

KNIGHTS OF  COLUMBUS SET NEW INSURANCE SALES RECORDS
 
Our Supreme Knight announced another record year for insurance sales.
The year 2007 was the seventh consective year of insurance growth for the order.
Not a bad way to start off the 21st century.
 
Life insurance in force reached $66.I  BILLION in 2007. 
A new record of $6.564 BILLION in life insurance sales was set in 2007. 
December 2007 was the best month ever in K of C history by
adding $864.1 million in new life insurance for our members and
their families.  This amount exceeded the amount sold during the
ENTIRE YEAR OF 1978.
 
Consider the talk on radio & T.V. about the economy slowdown.
There are insurance companies selling out or merging, In addition,
the Knights of Columbus sell only to its members and families. This makes
the above facts about our growth become even more impressive.  How
can the K of C be in the top 1000 companies in the United States? Why
