WHAT THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS IS ALL ABOUT FOR 125 YEARS

When Fr. McGivne started the Knights of Columbus in 1882, the state of Conn. as well as a number of other states would review the financial situation of a family after the loss of the breadwinner.  If the state determined that the widow could not provide for all her children,
the state would take some or all the children and put them in a foster home or orphanage.

Due to the discrimination against the Irish, they did not have the advantage of obtaining life insurance.  As a result this is one of the major factors for Fr. McGivney to establish the Knights of
Columbus, to protect the widows and orphans of our members.  Today, we are much more fortunate and we have more control over our own families.  However, our respnsibilities to our
families has not changed in 125 years.  If you died tonight, would your family be able to survive?  Would they have the same standard of living?  Your future starts tomorrow.  Contact me today.
