We want to post our newsletters on the website instead of via e-mail due to so many "bad" email addresses. Please send your email address to Rich Nickel. Also, if you change your e-mail address, please let me know so I can change my files.

The income protection rider
Most people realize they need life insurance to pay final expenses or a mortgage on their home. However, there may be additional income needed for a limited period of time. A family with small children may want to wait a few years until the children are in school before the mother returns to work but is forced to leave her children in daycare ( and have an additional expense) because of the loss of the breadwinner. A two income family with one spouse earning substantially more than the other may lose the primary income earner and the spouse is not able to make up the difference in income or drain the retirement fund to make ends meet. One spouse may be making a minimal income but it is needed to make the car payment for the next five years. There are many reasons where an additional monthly income is required for a limited time period. This is the time an income protection rider (IPR) is very useful.
You determine the amount and length of time the additional monthly income is required. It can be added as a rider to the insurance policy and at a reasonable cost due to the limited time required. You are only paying the premium for the time you need the coverage. Another way the Knights of Columbus makes insurance more affordable to the members and families. Your future starts tomorrow.
